Flooriva Rugs was founded in 2026 in Pachhbhaiya, Bhadohi — a town that has woven carpets for centuries. We work directly with master craftspeople to create rugs that bridge traditional techniques and contemporary design.

The Making
From raw fibre to finished piece, each rug passes through hands that have spent decades mastering this art.
Step 01
Wool skeins are immersed in colour baths and turned slowly on iron reels over open flame. Steam rises as the dye penetrates deep into each fibre. This is where a rug's palette is born — rich, fast, and alive. Each batch is dyed by eye, guided by years of instinct rather than formula.
Step 02
Once dyed and dried, wool skeins are sorted by shade and weight. Our artisans select combinations that will hold contrast and harmony across the life of the rug — a process that takes as long as it takes.
Step 03
Natural jute is twisted into warp threads — the invisible skeleton every rug is built upon. Strong, sustainable, and local, jute has been the backbone of Bhadohi rugs for generations. The coils are prepared by hand before threading onto the loom.
Step 04
Hundreds of bobbins are loaded onto a creel rack, each one feeding a single thread to the loom below. The arrangement of these threads determines the rug's structure. Setting up a single loom can take a full day — and a single error can unravel hours of work. It is painstaking, deliberate, and entirely by hand.
The Founder
I didn't start Flooriva because rugs were trending. I started it because I grew up watching them being made, and I knew the world wasn't seeing them the way I did.
I'm Talha, I grew up in Bhadohi, surrounded by looms, dye pits, and craftspeople who have spent their entire lives mastering something most people walk right over. After completing my B.Com Honours and continuing into my MBA, I kept returning to the same question: why do the world's most refined buyers look past the very place that has been making their rugs for centuries?
Flooriva is my answer. It's a brand built from here, not inspired by here, not romanticising here from a distance, but genuinely rooted in Pachbhaiya, Bhadohi. Every piece we sell is made by artisans I know by name, in workshops I can walk to. I want you to feel that connection when a Flooriva rug is on your floor.
We're new. We're learning every day. But the craft behind every piece is anything but young, it's centuries old, and it deserves to be seen.
